2021 LINCOLN CORSAIR NEAR NEW ORLEANS LA: LINCOLN’S SMALLEST CROSSOVER

The smallest Lincoln crossover made a great first impression in 2020 with a strong range of engines, a quality cabin, and good driving manners. Now, the 2021 Lincoln Corsair near New Orleans LA has been unveiled with a Grand Touring trim that adds a PHEV option to the mix.

Like the larger Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring, the Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring is a plug-in model, featuring an improved powertrain and standard all-wheel drive.
On the outside, Grand Touring 2021 Lincoln Corsair near New Orleans LA retains the 2020 model's design, and that's fine because the model is very stylish. However, if you look closely for clues, there are a few giveaways that this is the PHEV version of the new Lincoln Corsair. Some of these clues include the unique grille with the Spirit Blue Lincoln star badge, special 20-inch wheels, a charge port door on the front left fender and Spirit Blue badging. Blacked out pillars throughout give the impression of a floating roof and the single taillight strip gives distinction to the rear end.
Similarly on the inside, there aren't many clues to tell you that you're in a different version of the Lincoln Corsair. You still get the same spacious, upscale, multi-adjustable interior that you get in other editions of the new crossover, so the clues may not become apparent until you start driving. Additional sound-dampening materials and active noise cancellation technology should join with the electric operation of the Corsair Grand Touring to make the ride even quieter. Smart-looking air vents and a nice selection of materials ensure a premium feel.

You still get sliding second-row bench seats with 6-inches of movement and a 60/40-split, which still fold flat. The Grand Touring's battery is packaged flat and under the floor, which means that the cargo area can still accommodate four full-size suitcases or four sets of golf clubs. Up front, the 24-way adjustable Perfect Position seats are optional.

There's lots of tech on-board, too, with the standard Lincoln Co-Pilot 360 suite featuring automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot detection with cross-traffic alert, auto headlights, and a rearview camera. There's also an available head-up display. Overall, it's a great place to sit end enjoy the PHEV's strong performance.

2021 Lincoln Corsair near New Orleans LA: Engine Options
Under the hood is where we get to some big differences from other versions of the 2021 Lincoln Corsair near New Orleans LA. The powertrain is a combination of a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder gas engine and an electric motor mated to an electric continuously variable transmission (CVT). This all drives the front wheels, with an estimated combined system output of 266 horsepower. The rear wheels are driven by a dedicated electric motor that's used when all-wheel drive is needed. The battery pack is a 14.4-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion unit, which should be good for 25 miles of full-electric operation. Charging takes 10 to 11 hours on a Level 1, 120-V household outlet, dropping to three to four hours on a Level 2, 240-V charger.
Drivers will get a range of seven driving modes with the 2021 Lincoln Corsair near New Orleans LA. Five of these are shared with the rest of the lineup: Normal, Conserve, Excite, Slippery and Deep Conditions. The Grand Touring introduces two new options: Conserve EV and Pure EV. The former relies on the gas engine as much as possible, allowing the battery to charge to up to 75 percent. Pure EV goes the other way: it prioritizes battery power, only bringing in the engine when absolutely necessary.
The 2021 Corsair Grand Touring was built at the Louisville, KY assembly plant. Look for it in our showroom this summer at Baldwin Lincoln.
